A very nice and comfortable room ;a wonderful view to the back garden; a beautiful area ( not very far from the centre of Edinburgh and the Royal Mile ); a rich breakfast ; a very friendly service.

Location

Besides the most popular attractions (such as Edinburgh Castle), which we really enjoyed, we'd like to recommend The Writers' Museum, The People's Story Museum, and the National Museum of Scotland.

A beautiful guest house with warm and friendly hosts Eddie and Maria. I was made to feel very welcome. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and attractive and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good. And the location is perfect - a five minute walk from the town centre but also on a nice quiet road so I always had an excellent night's sleep.

Location

Very close to the Edinburgh Playhouse, various cafes and bars, the Omni leisure centre and John Lewis department store and the Royal Mile. Also a 2 minute walk from Calton Hill which offers the most spectacular views of Edinburgh.

I got a very warm welcome form the host. The room was extremely comfortable, charming and had everything I needed. I had a great nights sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Again the hosts were just perfect - warm and friendly. They also arranged a taxi for me to continue my onward journey. The hotel is very well located for the city.

The room was just fine, with a great view of the garden (and good exercise on the stairs). The owners were delightful in conversation and very helpful in orienting us. The breakfast was very good. Overall: Outstanding.

Location

We had only a day and a half in Edinburgh, so we walked the mile in old and new towns, climbed the hill for the view and ate in two excellent restaurants. Our favorites were the writers' museum and Hume's toe.

Our room was immaculate , elegantly decorated but with all the required features for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was substantial and the hosts were delightful, a lovely thought to supply us with a packed breakfast as we had to leave very early to catch a flight! A gem of a B&B so close to the heart of the city .

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the service friendly. The elegant building had been maintained with care. The situation was convenient - within a pleasant walk of Old and New Towns - but quiet. Our room on the top floor commanded a fine view of the manicured garden. Breakfast was ample, well-cooked and promptly served, with a welcome bowl of porridge. I'd have rated the hotel outstanding if the shower had been better; a shower-cubicle, rather than a curtain, and a pump to increase the flow would be an improvement. I should gladly return to Adria House on any future visit to Edinburgh.
