Radiator in the bathroom did not come on, I tried turning the control but it seemed rather stiff and I did not want to damage it. I did not mention to the owners as it was not a real problem as I could keep the door to the en-suite open for heat to go in and I was only there the one night.

Lovely large room, great hosts and wonderful breakfasts. We got good internet reception, and both my grandchildren gave them a thumbs up.

This was my 2nd stay at Acorn. The standard of accommodation and welcoming hospitality was as excellent as ever and with the lovely breakfast each morning, this all made my stay in Inverness so enjoyable. Location is very convenient and there is car parking. It is just a short stroll into town. I shall look forward to my next visit to Inverness and another stay at the Acorn Guest House.

Location

I can recommend the Brasserie Restaurant overlooking the River Ness. Also, Urquharts Restaurant. The food and service is excellent in both establishments. There is so much to see within easy reach of Inverness and also in Inverness itself which makes it a good base. Culloden Battlefield and Cawdor Castle, Castle Urquhart and Loch Ness, the Black Isle, and the pretty towns of Tain and Dornoch, and Golspie with its magnificent Dunrobin Castle and falconry displays,to name just a few. In Inverness itself, a walk along the River Ness, criss-crossing the Ness Islands makes a lovely walk. The Floral Hall is also worth a visit.

Dugie & Fiona are the absolute top notch hosts!! Wonderful accommodations, wonderful food, wonderful location! We found a great inexpensive pub right down the street a block or so, called Nellie Deans. Good food with local charm.

our room was very clean, well set out, modern, the staff were so friendly, so much so that we would have stayed longer if we had the chance. Breakfast was very nice and the portions were very generous.

Location

ideally placed for walking into inverness town centre. Where there are plenty of good shops, restaurants, and other places of interest to visit.
