Really loved the place, my room, the folk - Allison and James. They even provided small Easter eggs since it was Easter. Really amazing value for money. Can't find any fault.

We had a lovely room which was downstairs thankfully as we were staying as part of a motorcycle tour so everything was in bike panniers. The room was large and so was the bathroom, so as a base the accommodation was ideal. We were made most welcome from the off. The breakfast was excellent choosing items from a list each morning. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Abermar to my friends or relatives or indeed anyone looking to stay in Inverness.

Location

Culloden is just out of town. I would certainly recommend it. We were also lucky to be in Inverness when they held their highland games which you could walk to from the Abermar. It rained all afternoon but the spectacle was well worth it. Just about all of the local restaurants were good catering for a range of budgets. Definitely go to Hootenanny. Good food, good beer and at 9.30 the live traditional music starts. Great fun. Also, go to Leakey,s second hand bookshop. Unbeleivable.

This property was absolutely excellent it was spotless and so clean aND the accommodation was comfortable I liked the fact that if you did come back early they had a lounge with a tv .Also the owners supplied both bubble bath and shower gel - a nice touch the breakfast choice was varied . They were always happy to please - nothing was too much trouble

Location

Recommend Culloden , Castle mey at john o groats good value for money and Dun Robin Castle I felt Balmoral was not worth the 11.00 entrance fee as you only really see the ground. Fantastic boat trips around lochness Excellent meal at the Doores inn on Locness and for added bonus see Nessie hunter ( a guy who has been searching for Nessie for 21years ) also the Alangrange arms lovely pub/restaurant - go down to Chanderery point and see the dolphins Finally visit the fish and chip restaurant in Helmsgate - very good value for money
