When you reserve accommodation using our Site, you are entering into a legally binding contract with the accommodation provider, and not UK Accommodation Index. We simply act as an agent who arranges the booking and are not a party to the booking contract. The contract will be subject to the accommodations provider’s terms and we will arrange for the terms to be provided to you on request.

We take the privacy of our visitors and our customers very seriously. The only time we collect information about you is when you enquire about particular accommodation, whether through the Site, by e-mail or otherwise. We will store this information securely and will use it to arrange your reservation and for related purposes. We may also use this information for marketing purposes.
We will not use your information for any other purposes and will only pass it on to those providers who hold reservations for you. So, for example, we will send the provider your name, e-mail address, home address and telephone number. The provider may also require your credit card details to secure your booking. When you submit an enquiry to us, we will send you an e-mail confirming whether the accommodation is available on the specified date(s) and, if so, the tariff. If you wish to book the accommodation, you should let us know as soon as possible, preferably by e-mail. We will then pass your details to the provider who will confirm your reservation and conclude the contract.
We will then send you a Reservation Confirmation E-mail to confirm the details of your booking.
As we are not a party to the booking contract, UK Accommodation Index cannot be held responsible if the provider does not honour the reservation or provides accommodation which is different from that reserved. Accordingly, we shall not be responsible for any loss, claim, cost, damage or injury which you may incur (directly or indirectly) as a result.
4. Price and Payment
The tariff for your accommodation shall be the tariff which is confirmed by the accommodation provider at the time the contract is concluded.
All bookings made using the Site are subject to to pay at the time of booking a deposit of 10% of the total cost of your accommodation to secure your reservation. The deposit can be paid by credit or debit card and are non refundable. If you have any enquiries about payments, you can e-mail email@example.com
Any accommodation which you book using the Site will be subject to the terms and conditions of the accommodation provider. This will include, for example, the balance of the reservation price which must be paid according to the accommodation provider’s own terms for payment.
Also, some providers may charge a fee for cancellations or changes to reservations and some providers may not issue any refunds for cancelled or altered arrangements. UK Accommodation Index has no control or influence over such matters. As a matter of industry practice, you will normally be charged for your first nights stay if you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of the day on which you are due to arrive. If you have any queries or concerns regarding the accommodation you should contact the accommodation provider direct. Their contact details will be detailed on the Reservation Confirmation Email.
UK Accommodation Index takes reasonable steps to ensure that the information displayed on the Site is accurate. However the accuracy of Site content cannot be guaranteed. The Site, and the information on it, is provided on an “as is” basis and we do not warrant (and accept no responsibility for) the accuracy, completeness, currency or reliability of any of the content or data found on this Site.
We shall not be liable for any loss or damage which arises from your use of the Site (including relying upon information on the Site) or from your inability to access the Site, except where the loss or damage is proved to be a direct result of our negligence. In such a case, our liability shall be limited to the sum of the booking fee and deposit paid for the reservation. We shall have no liability whatsoever for any indirect or consequential losses (whether for loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill, loss of data, interruption of use, unavailability of data or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever.

7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by Scots law and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
