Situated in Kilmun, only 5 miles from Dunoon on the north shore of the Holy Loch, the North Lodge has one of the finest views available in the Cowal area. Providing self catering accommodation within the Argyll Forest Park and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the Lodge has a covered, sunny terrace overlooking the beautiful tidal River Echaig. Enjoy the beautiful woodland walks of Pucks Glen, Kilmun Arboretum and the world famous Benmore Botanic Gardens, which are all within 5 minutes of your front door. Prices from: £50 per night
Sleeps 6 - 7 persons with three bedrooms (two twin rooms and a large double room) and the addition of a folding bed. There is a large corner bath/WC and shower when a relaxing hot shower or bath is required to soothe tired limbs, while there is also a smaller showerroom/WC. The Lodge is equipped with a woodburning stove that provides a warm Highland welcome after a hard day walking through some of Scotland's loveliest scenery.

Long or short breaks are available all year round. Dunoon with its restaurants and shops is a short and pleasant bus ride. The lovely Coylet Inn, Pier Hotel and Whistlefield Inns are all within ten minutes drive.

Local wildlife includes kingfishers darting along the river, herons patiently fishing, woodpeckers and owls appearing in the evenings and fish jumping. You can watch red squirrels and birds feeding inches from the kitchen window. Prices from: £50 per night
