This beautiful granite stone-built Victorian residence, located in Fort Augustus in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, dates back to the mid 1800's and reflects the character and splendour of that era. After a generous and hearty breakfast, our guests are set up for a day of sight-seeing by car, with the Isle of Skye, Inverness, Perthshire, the Black Isle, Aviemore and the Scottish West Coast all being accessible from here. Prices from: £30 per person/night (to include a generous breakfast choice)
All our rooms are beautifully appointed with en suite facilities and have colour television, tea and coffee making facilities with a hairdryer provided. All rooms are heated independently and can therefore be controlled individually, so your room temperature can be as warm or as cool as you wish. Upon your return to us in the evening, you can enjoy a ‘wee dram' in our comfortable lounge bar.

This lovely home was built during the mid-nineteenth Century and has a history of 160 years. Since we came here, we have endeavoured to re-create the beauty of the Victorian age, complemented with 21st century comforts. The combination of these two elements make this home a special haven where our guests can relax and have a memorable stay.

The house is situated just a very short walk from the centre of the picturesque and historic village of Fort Augustus, through which runs the famous Caledonian Canal. It is here that boats and pleasure cruisers can be seen as they navigate through the ‘staircase' lock system designed by Thomas Telford, and venture out into the 24 mile expanse of Loch Ness (where the monster lives!) Fort Augustus is home to a wide choice of restaurants, bars and quaint and interesting shops.
Nick and Fran Walker extend you a warm welcome to Nia-Roo Lodge in the centre of the Highlands, providing you with an ideal location from which to base your holiday. Prices from: £30 per person/night (to include a generous breakfast choice)
