The area around St Andrews is rich in history and has many visitor attractions as well as being the Home of Golf. Only one hour and 20 minutes north of Edinburgh, St Andrews is a 2 hour drive from Glasgow. If arriving by plane the quickest travel option is to hire a car from either Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport. If you are arriving by railway it is easiest to continue by train from Edinburgh to Leuchars and then hire a car.
