Cemetery Road, Avoch, Black Isle, near Inverness, IV9 8QS
The unique geographic position of the Black Isle attracts a huge variety of bird life. Many migratory birds are seen here in late summer including pink-footed and greylag geese and many species of duck as they search for feeding sites. Resident species include the (introduced) red kites which fly frequently over the house and osprey which are sometimes seen from the back garden hovering high above the Firth. Recent guests at the house enumerated some 77 species of bird spotted from the conservatory and mainly congregated on the flats below at low tide. Prices from: 35 per person/night.
