No one knows when the hotel was built but it is probably one of the oldest hotels on the island and most likely dates from the early 19th Century. The Glenisle Restaurant is popular with locals and visitors alike for its excellent cuisine, relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. We start with a well-chosen menu featuring local, seasonal ingredients. Our chefs take pride in each dish and alter the menu with the passing seasons to take full advantage of the best of the local produce.

And atmosphere is important, too. We've chosen soothing colours, exposed the sandstone walls and polished the wooden floorboards to make a great place to relax and enjoy the food, the wine and the company.

Located in the Firth of Clyde, Arran is easily accessible from central Scotland with the ferry crossing from Ardrossan taking 55 minutes. Visitors feel a sense of calm as they approach Arran and yet the island also offers a wealth of activities ranging from mountaineering and hill-walking to other sporting activities such as fishing or golfing on its seven golf courses. Brodick Castle and its gardens is a must for all visitors, as is the distillery at Lochranza.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Glenisle Hotel where you can relax in comfort while you enjoy the beauty of Arran. Prices from: 52 per person/night
