The Garden House Guest House is located in the Spa Village of Strathpeffer in the Northern Highlands of Scotland , five miles west from Dingwall. Located about 400 metres from the centre of the village, the guest house is set well back from the main road, adjacent to the Spa Pavilion gardens. The house was originally set in the Pavilion gardens, hence the name “The Garden House”. Prices from: £30 per person/night
The Guest House has five letting rooms, all with en-suite facilities. A guest lounge is available to residents at all times. Evening meals are served to order daily about 6:30pm, (Table d'hote). In addition to our normal menu we can provide a good selection of special diet and vegetarian menus.

Strathpeffer has retained its Victorian architecture with the old railway station now a visitor centre and the large Victorian villas now private dwellings. The village boasts an 18 hole golf course with 5 other courses, including Royal Dornoch within an hours drive. The area also provides for excellent walking and fishing.

Strathpeffer became established as a Spa early in the 19th century. The first Pump Room was built in 1819. With the arrival of the railway in nearby Dingwall in 1862, the spa became more accessible. As the popularity of the spa increased so did the need for entertainment and accommodation. A local architect was commissioned to design a centre for entertainment, ‘The Spa Pavilion', which first opened in 1881. Recently refurbished, it is again the main venue for events such as weddings, concerts and art exhibitions.
Strathpeffer is ideally located to provide a good base from which to tour the Northern Highlands. Ullapool, Gairloch, Dornoch and the Black Isle are within easy reach as are many places of historical interest. Prices from: £30 per person/night
