The Ardyne is situated in a prominent position on the seafront, 5 minutes by car from the main ferry, or a leisurely stroll for those leaving their cars at home. Our comfortable guest house is an elegant listed Victorian Villa designed by John Orkney in 1875 and its importance is recognised by Historic Scotland. Its setting within well tended gardens create an ideal ambiance for a relaxing break and its spectacular views across Rothesay Bay to the Cowal Hills and the Kyles of Bute are unsurpassed. The Ardyne is a beautiful Victorian Villa and many original features have been retained to add to the authentic atmosphere.
Our 10 bedrooms are all en-suite and are furnished in a comfortable style with traditional soft furnishings and crisp white bed linen. If you choose a Sea View room you will have amazing views of Rothesay Bay and the Cowal hills beyond.

We have created comfortable public areas which are perfect for guests who want to have a quiet drink or put their feet up with a good book. Our lounge offers the perfect place to relax in quiet surroundings. In the winter you can warm up by the fire after a brisk and breezy walk along the seafront. In the summer the french windows open out onto a small terraced area.
Our bar offers a selection of wines and beers, with a good range of single malt whiskies and other spirits.

Our restaurant enjoys magnificent views and meals are complemented by a fine selection of wines, beers and malt whiskies.
Groups of eight or over can pre book dinner.
As well as catering to resident guests the restaurant is also available for small weddings and functions. Our chef uses local produce wherever possible and dinner reservations need to be made in advance. We are happy to cater for those with special diets and we always have a choice of vegetarian food on our menus. A full Scottish breakfast is included.
