Three separate and luxurious 4-star graded apartments in A-listed Scottish Townhouse, uniquely located on the edge of a tranquil park, yet only a 15-minute stroll, or 5 mins by bus to Edinburgh's city centre and all the main attractions. Together, all 3 apartments sleep 9 - 11 persons. Pilrig House (built 1638) has a fascinating history and a wonderful literary connection - it was once the home of Robert Louis Stevenson's family - Scotland's most acclaimed author. RLS mentions the house in his novels Kidnapped and Catriona. Guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, private (free) parking, and lovely gardens which are teeming with wildlife. Balfour Apartment (2nd floor) sleeps up to 4 persons in 2 double bedrooms - one with super king-sized bed that can be split into twins; spacious, sunny living-room with dual-aspect windows offering views over the entire park and Edinburgh skyline; modern bathroom with walk-in shower cabinet. Park Apartment (exclusive Palladian staircase entrance) sleeps 3 - 4 persons in one double bedroom & one single bedroom - both with park views; oak-floored living room; fully tiled bathroom (with shower/shower screen over bath).

Garden Apartment (at garden level) sleeps 2 - 3 persons with one double bedroom with garden views; bathroom (with shower/shower screen over bath), attractive living-room overlooking the front gardens. Each apartment has a double pull-out sofa-bed in the living-room and a fully equipped kitchen. Facilities include: flat-screen TV, DVD, CD-player, digital radio, ironing facilities, clothes washer-dryer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee-maker, adjustable heating in all rooms, overhead dimmer lighting.
Designated parking in private car park, Broadband Wi-Fi, telephone with ansa service - free local and national calls. Cot and baby blankets available on request. All apartments are non-smoking.
