Pilrig House was built in 1638 and was once the home of Robert Louis Stevenson's family - RLS mentions the house in Kidnapped and Catriona. Guests benefit from free private parking and lovely gardens which are teeming with wildlife. Prices from: £90 per night (Minimum 3 night stay) Reduced rates for weekly and longer bookings.
Pilrig Garden Apartment is at the garden level of Pilrig House and sleeps 2 - 3 persons. There is one double bedroom with garden views, an attractive living room with a pull-out sofa-bed which overlooks the front gardens, a bathroom with shower/shower screen over bath, and a fully equipped kitchen. Facilities include: flat-screen TV, DVD, CD-player, digital radio, ironing facilities, clothes washer-dryer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee-maker, adjustable heating in all rooms, overhead dimmer lighting.
