Uniquely located on the edge of a tranquil park, this luxurious 4-star graded apartment iis within an A-listed Scottish Townhouse, yet only a 15 minute stroll, or 5 mins by bus to Edinburgh's city centre and all the main attractions. Pilrig House (built 1638) has a fascinating history and a wonderful literary connection - it was once the home of Robert Louis Stevenson's family - Scotland's most acclaimed author. RLS mentions the house in his novels Kidnapped and Catriona. Guests can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, private (free) parking, and lovely gardens which are teeming with wildlife. Pilrig Balfour Apartment is on the 2nd floor of Pilrig House and sleeps up to 4 persons in 2 double bedrooms - one with a super king-sized bed that can be split into twins. There is a spacious and sunny living room with dual-aspect windows offering views over the entire park and Edinburgh skyline. Fully equipped kitchen and modern bathroom with walk-in shower cabinet.
