Gladstone House is a beautiful Victorian 4 star guest house built in 1889 and named after the Prime Minister William Gladstone. The historic centre of the city is only a 10 minute bus journey or 20 minute walk away where our guests can enjoy the internationally renowned attractions of Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens and The Royal Mile. For guests wanting to stretch their legs Holyrood Park is close by and is ideal for running, walking and gentle hill climbing and offers spectacular panoramic views across the Edinburgh skyline from Arthur's Seat.
For those guests here on business, we are only a few minutes from Edinburgh University 's major academic departments and Pollock Halls of Residence. Also close by are the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Scottish Widows Offices and other major financial companies.
